just as an alternative, elastic common schema (ECS) was recently adopted by CNCF OpenTelemetry. There's a usable pipeline definition for elastic to map osquery result logs to ECS (https://github.com/elastic/integrations/blob/main/packages/osquery/data_stream/result/elasticsearch/ingest_pipeline/default.yml) and I've written one in VRL to ingest the logs in to matano which is also ECS-based
