Hey there!! I'm just wondering if there is perhaps a way that we can integrate LDAP into Fleet perhaps? Or how can I know which users have installed Fleet client, this is because I dont have identfied the computer with the users names, so I wouldn't know who is who. Any suggestions perhaps?

Hi @Paul James ! If you have not disabled it in your settings, Fleet gathers user information from hosts from the
users
table. If you're using the Fleet agent to manage osquery on your hosts, you also have access to logged in Chrome users. You can see the users Fleet has found in the host in the host detail page.

hi @Paul James - just FYI we use Adaptive Shield as an SSPM and it integrates with Fleet and our MDMs and can show us which systems have not yet been enrolled in Fleet. We're also poking around at JupiterOne for this purpose as well. (Both are commercial applcications).

Hey! Thanks for you input! Just one more question, It me understaning that we can used osquery just as a read only tool, and not to do modifications in the system, for example installing software. Its that correct?
k
Correct. Fleet does have MDM capabilities for MacOS if you choose to use that functionality, but osquery itself is read only.
