I have a quick question - does fleet support MySQL 8 on the back end, and if so what version of fleet is required for MySQL 8?

We switched to MySQL 8 around version 4.29.1 and it was fine. I think we needed to add some index to the DB that was added in later fleet versions. At the time we upgraded the DB, our Fleet version was probably 6 months out of date. 😳

Awesome. We are running 4.38 and will be upgrading to 4.47.3 soon and I wanted to get off of my MySQL server before the upgrade. Glad to hear MySQL 8 is working for you!
