I saw gh issue 5713 so figured it was possible, perhaps my fleetctl isn't bleeding edge enough?

Sounds like we might need to add a note on the “get started” page warning about errors that occur when installing the fleetctl npm package on certain OS’s. @Eric Shaw has a branch (Fleet Sandbox) that moves this page. So Eric’s PR is the right place to edit this. https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/pull/6380 2. @jlk we are working on simplifying the process of generating installers right now, so it's good timing. The installer cloud was smelling like rain yesterday, so @zwass and team might have some news soon… ☁️⚙️💾
