Something that we do internally is to specify a group of folks we deem "trusted", which means we push out beta versions of things to their systems first. These people are self-selected, and aware of this type of roll-out, and have agreed to notify us of goofy behaviors. It's a heavy trust game, but the reward we get out of this is really good fast feedback about when things break
