using http against an external resource doesn't generally tell you a lot about the state of the host itself. It tells you a bit about another host, and a bit about the network environment that the host is in, I guess, but it seems out of scope if osquery's mission is host state. Metadata endpoints are a good use case, I suppose, but I try not to let things query those unless they have a very good reason to. It's easy enough to just tack it onto disabled tables, though
