The dev process is a little more sluggish on Windows unfortunately 😞 But the same concept still sort of holds. For Windows I'd alter what I mentioned, and say instead, create your new implementation files and spec, then run the build script we provide. Once your table has been generated once (I typically use a shell implementation file that does nothing) you can just use VS to rebuild, and it uses it's own cachcing for fast builds
