I have kafka using elb’s for other data. And I use osquery to get a lot of data from my endpoints for everything from log management, security, config management, etc. Having that data even sent within our org behinf firewalls and into our own VPC in clear test over standard ports is bad practice. Anyone inside the network could potentially spy on it
