Are you able to repro? Could you setup the filesystem logging and look for the status logs from the watchdog? I think there's a potential issue currently with some of the logger data regarding statuses not making it into syslog but I think I'm fuzzy on the details of that, but if you can repro and use something like the filesystem logger perhaps you could get insight into why the worker is failing to be brought back?
