The thrift library (thrift itself) has its own facilities for logging to stdout. In the past we were able to install handlers to redirect messages to our logging and silence a lot of the informational output. Recently we may have regressed on that catch-and-silence or new messages may have been introduced and we need to follow up. This is my high-level context/insight, I am not sure exactly in this case.
