@theopolis or anyone know what is meant by "SHOULD enforce protective permissions" in this comment (https://github.com/osquery/osquery/issues/302#issuecomment-62826162)? It seems to me there may be a race condition in which osquery opens the log file to write results, the file is then rotated by an external tool, and then osquery writes to the now defunct file descriptor. This seems like it could cause a loss of logs. Can anyone provide input on that?
