@fmanco what is the logic used by Buck to export dependencies from one target to the other? There are some dependencies that are not exported with

exported_deps

but are still reaching other targets. Here's an example of what I don't understand: the

json

target under osquery/utils doesn't work without googletest (the TU ends up including gtest/gtest_prod.h) but it's not specified neither in

deps

nor in

exported_deps

. Additionally. the googletest library never appears in any

exported_deps

directive (I checked all targets). There are other things I don't understand, such as FreeBSD requiring explicit flags such as https://github.com/facebook/osquery/blob/experimental/osquery/devtools/BUCK#L19 Why isn't this handled with transitive properties on targets?
