on the similar lines (or perhaps re-phrasing it), how can an external extension query for json data items via the config plugin? today, we just read the .conf file and parse it..but is it possible that the core can hand over the parsed json blob on which we can give the key and it can give the value? I see that it can do for common fields like 'file_paths' or 'exclude_paths'...but what if there was 'extension_foo_data'?
