the only reason i care about it being in a release is that when we release kolide, we need to be able to say "we require osquery version X.Y.Z to operate" and if this isn't in this release, then we'll just have to require the version which it IS in. AND we'll have to update development tooling to install non-tagged versions of osqueryd until that release is out.
