another dumb question; is there planned support for aws bottlerocket?

Have you tried deploying osquery on AWS Bottlerocket? Did you encounter any technical issues?

OS support is mostly driven by demand. This isn’t a thing I’ve heard demand for. If it’s linux it might just work.
