I would also appreciate knowing what the pricing is for premium features yet self-hosted. l saw in the docs that's possible, but I don't understand if it's still $7.00/host.
p
I don't work for Fleet, but it's the same price for self-hosted vs hosted. There is a min of 300 hosts I believe for hosted. That said, make sure you get a quote for the number of hosts you expect, good chance you'll get a discount.
t
Thanks!
Do you know if the self-hosted version also includes a builtin TUF server for auto-updates?
I didn't see it in the feature listing
p
No, I've only used hosted during my trial. No plans to self-host.
t
Ok, got it. Thank you!
p
I'm sure someone from Fleet will chime in. Yesterday was a holiday in the US and it's still early.

HI @Toni Sanmateu (osquery)! Auto-updates via Fleet's TUF server are included regardless of subscription tier or hosting platform. To implement a custom TUF server you would need to be using Fleet Premium.
t
Why would I want a custom TUF server though? I'm pretty sure the Fleet one would be enough 🙂
u
For most people, the Fleet TUF server fits their needs. Some organizations prefer to host their own infrastructure when possible, and a custom TUF server would also allow you to add osquery extensions that aren't natively bundled with Fleet (such as custom extensions).
t
Perfect, thanks!
@Mason Buettner Just to clarify, if I self-host fleet, do I need to do anything related to TUF, or will the packages already point to a managed TUF server where fleet posts the latest binaries?
u
Fleet's TUF server is a default and should require no intervention from you to configure.
t
Great thanks.
