Hi everyone! I wanted to give a heads up that I am going out on parental leave the end of December through March. I am also largely trying to disconnect from tech during this time. I will not be around to work on osquery, build releases, fix bugs/etc; though I may poke my head in to answer questions or for some casual conversation.
That means we should work quickly to get 4.1.2 ready and released and tested. Right now I am waiting on a final two PRs https://github.com/osquery/osquery/pull/6122 and https://github.com/osquery/osquery/pull/6128, and I am drafting the change log now. It also means I cannot create packages between January and March. If there's an emergency and osquery needs a new package then I can eventually get to it. We are far away from having CI build packages as an alternative to the manual building I do now, but there is nothing stopping that from happening beyond doing the actual development.
I don't suspect my absence to cause issues but if you need help from a Facebook or "what's the tribal knowledge" perspective, then @thor is your GOTO. He is ready to take over for me during this time.
