General drive by thought on the back of <https://github.com/fleetdm/fleet/pull/73> I wonder instead of a Gridview an expansion view on the table which would allow you to open a specific host and get some detailed info about it would be beneficial.

This would allow you to shrink the wide of the table also and move some less important info into there.

Also dynamic search on the table would be nice so you can easily filter down by hostname or ip

Agreed, and our designer has put together some mocks for this

<@U8N2Z8CSF> off the cuff- what's your top 3+ pieces of information you'd want to see highlighted on the host details screen?

Honestly I have no strong opinion however having items such as Ram %diskfree or known issues visible would be nice.

For example if vuln managment.

The ability to have a warning sign by a host then expand and see out of data packages or a more detailed info pane with a link to the issue.

But the quick two would be ram and cpu as this info is already in the DB was populated by the grid view and would prevent an insight regression.

Bingo , I assume the use case would flesh out over time and would allow expansion it doesn’t need to be perfect from day one. Once you have it I am sure people will have better suggestions as to what fits them best.
