With this UI work underway, is there a possibility to look at the query input boxes not working properly in Safari? I think it was due to an incompatibility with the library being used with that last time I looked into it.

Yeah we are actually looking into that. So far simple solutions seem to have eluded us and changing text editor libraries would be a major undertaking. The goal is definitely to have great support on every modern browser.
