no, read events are not captured as of now. Only create/write/rename/delete events are reported (basically events that lead to file modification). Happy to add a 'read' event if there is a use case but just worried about the volume of them..

I was updating a file at location AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\ but did not get any file events for that action. The use case is browser store saved password data in this location at Login Data file so I was trying to see if any other program access this location except chrome raise a log/alerts for that.
