So there isn't even a way to manually remove them that I can see.

They're incomplete entries. I would like to automate it, but I can settle for manual right now

Have you tried to restart fleet? it solved the problem for me

can you force restart the osqueryd process on the hanging hosts?

so it was the same host but before I realized that not specifying a root_path results in different identifiers for each host. osqueryd can use hostnames instead of uuid for an identifier but I don't think that is the case with launcher unless im mistaken
