yes I meant exactly that (
--tls_compress=true
)
the thing is I was expecting more gain than what I had 😕
I am not an expert but JSON should compress quite well. while from a brief test (packet capture) the gain is pretty low

It should compress really well, but it's compressing single items on their own rather than everything in a single archive
so it's bound to be less effective
