We have a lot of custom labels created for internal categories, such as “vendor” (the primary software vendor deployed on the host) or “team” (an internal team identifier all our hosts are labelled with). As a result the new query UI is looking a little bit “busy”. I’m not sure if you have plans to address this, or haven’t considered if an end-user would have so many labels, but I wanted to share a screenshot with you (see thread).
The entire page is filled like this, I truncated it though 😄
In total we have 158 labels.

Wow, great to know! Let me tag our UX Design lead @Michael Thomas
With Fleet Premium, we add the ability to add hosts and users into Teams so there aren't so many Labels and the UI is a lot cleaner

Yeah they aren’t really “teams” in the same sense as Fleet’s Teams though, they’re internal labels that map to various project teams within the organisation.
Or vendor labels, so if we want to run a query across, say, all our MySQL hosts, we can target that label.

We use Fleet teams for this 🙂

Hi Ryan, this is a good UX use case to see. Design concepts for how to handle large amounts of labels do already exist (although until now we've not seen quite so many labels used out in the wild 😲). I will bring this up at our next product planning session, and in the meantime I'll make sure that it's tracked as a feature request. Thanks for sharing.
